CTN Animation Expo

Tomorrow is a when I am off to Los Angles for the CTN Animation Expo! I am totally excited for who is going to be there as well as the panels, speakers, contests and demonstrations they will offer. Finally I will be able to meet Andreas Deja the animator behind Gaston, Jafar, Scar, Roger Rabbit, King Triton, Hercules, and Lilo to name a few. The cool part about it is he was born in Gdańsk, Poland. My parents are both Polish and I grew up speaking, writing, and reading it. That's why I consider myself half Polish. I don't think that Andreas knows any Polish because he grew up in Dinslaken,Germany still... He is Polish in my mind. The event will take place Nov. 20-22 and I hope to make some contacts as well to get an animation job. Fingers crossed! There is going to be a screening of "The Secret of the Kells" an Irish hand drawn animated feature which is hard to see here in the states.
